Getting rid of
Cataracts
A few anesthetic eye drops and return home after a few minutes of treatment. Today cataracts are resolved effectively, quickly and without trauma.
For older patients, this also leads to safety concerns: going up and down stairs, seeing curbs on the sidewalks, locating small objects, and other potential dangers. There are no pharmaceutical treatments that can prevent or cure cataracts; the only solution is surgery.
The introduction of advanced diagnostic technologies and lasers plus the availability of a wide range of intraocular lenses has transformed surgery into a simple procedure.
Benefits of advanced cataract surgery are immediate and definitive: with special intraocular lenses, it completely eliminates or drastically reduces dependence on glasses and contact lenses, which in the past were necessary after surgery. Driving, reading, and participating in sports can be enjoyed again!
Rediscover the colors of the world around you.

A need, a desire, a wish…
Feel safe again. Being afraid to trip and fall, being unable to read an SMS, missing the joy of watching a movie with the family, no longer recognizing your granddaughter at school pick-up. Fortunately… it takes very little to get back to enjoying everyday life, feeling more confident with a renewed desire to live life to its fullest. A few minutes, no pain, an immediate recovery without downtime. And the pleasure of enjoying life and being ourselves comes back even stronger than before
Technology and Solutions
Using a femtosecond laser for cataract surgery, we can minimize variables to make the procedure even safer and more precise. With the cataract removed, intraocular lenses that correct all pre-existing defects -including presbyopia – can not only help you regain your vision but also provide total freedom from glasses and contact lenses. Lights, colors, the world around you will be appreciated in a completely new way

Femtosecond Laser Cataract Removal
Cataract removal takes only about ten minutes and is performed in a sterile environment with topical anesthesia: this means that a few anesthetic eye drops will be administered just minutes before surgery, without the need for an IV or injection. The intervention consists of removing the cloudy crystalline lens (the cataract) followed by the placement of an artificial intraocular lens. The patient can return home a few minutes after surgery. Discomfort is minimal and visual recovery is rapid; the eye is not covered and no stitches are necessary
How much does it cost?
The removal of the cataract with a femtosecond laser has a cost comparable to that of a 70-inch OLED TV with a surround-sound system. You will see brilliant colors again. Even your TV will seem brighter
Intraocular lenses for astigmatism
If the eye with cataracts also has astigmatism, the latter may be corrected with a special kind of intraocular lens. The intervention does not change, it is only the replacement lens that differs to correct the defect
How much does it cost?
The cost for the intraocular lens that corrects astigmatism is comparable to that of… a pair of glasses to correct astigmatism! But after surgery, you won’t need glasses for astigmatism. For ever
Intraocular lenses for presbyopia
How much does it cost?
The cost for the intraocular lens that corrects presbyopia as well as other vision defects is comparable to that of a dinner for 4 in a Michelin-star restaurant. Read the menu, enjoy the company of friends and family, and see everything in focus. For now and in the future
